أعلنت لجنة جائزة نوبل أمس فوز ثلاثة من العلماء الأمريكيين بجائزة نوبل للفيزياء لعام‏2004,‏ هم‏:‏ ديفيد جروس‏,‏ وديفيد بوليتزر‏,‏ وفرانك ولتشيك‏,‏ وذلك للدراسات الرائدة التي أجروها لشرح ماهية الكوارك‏,‏ وهو أصغر جزء في بناء المادة معروف حتي الآن‏.‏ وقالت اللجنة إن الاكتشاف له أهمية حاسمة في فهم نظرية عمل إحدي القوي الأساسية في الطبيعة‏,‏ وهي القوة التي تربط أصغر أجزاء المادة وهو الكوارك‏.‏

يتكون الالكترون الواحد من ثلاثة كواركات .. اثنين سالب و واحد موجب
و يتكون البروتون الواحد من ثلاثة كورات أيضاً .. لكن اثنين موجب وواحد سالب

سبحان الله اللي اكتشف الذرة كان مسميها

يعني الغير قابلة للانقسام اللي مافيش أصغر منها في الدنيا !!

Quarks and Leptons are the building blocks which build up matter, i.e. they are seen as the "elementary particles". In the present standard model, there are six "flavors" or simply kinds of quarks. They can successfully account for all known mesons and baryons (over 200). The most familiar baryons are the proton and neutron, which are each constructed from up and down quarks. Quarks are observed to occur only in combinations of two quarks (mesons), three quarks (baryons), and the recently discovered particles with five quarks (pentaquark).
