Why do u say that medicine in private universities is a criminal?

Hi all, Iam Adel Mohamed from syria, a new member in this great Montada, studying medicine in Misr university for science and technology in 6th october city, and I'm now in the 4th year.
My friends, our university is great and especially our faculty of Medicine, it has a very good staff of Profs...which r well known in all faculties of medicine in Egypt...
Our problem is that the two ministries of high education and health and population didn't recognize our faculty since our teaching Hospital is a little small..but for us it's enough as the number of our students is not that much big..
So subsequently the W.H.O didn't recognize us yet..and this is a great problem for the students especially for the Arabian ones who want to continue his Majester and profession in his own country or abroad...
Imagine that no one of us can continue his postgraduate studies in his country or abroad or even he can't apply for the xams concerning these studies unless we get the recognizaion of W.H.O and this depends at first on the two ministries mentioned before...and this thing made the graduated students od the last 2 years depresioned and puzzuled with big question marks about their future...
So plz help us...and reconsider our problem...
I don't know about 6th october university but I think that they r facing the same problem..

How do you can .. ask for things like that ... how do want to be equaled with others who faced deficulties in their previous studying

years ( secondary schools )!!! .. and asking for others rights ... Others who get 96 % in sconday school to get into this faculty ... I think

we should have many more deferentiations between us and others of private ( PAID ) unversities .... how can we help you .. and we

do not believe in your state as real doctors !!!

I think that having a high score in the secondary school is not the only indicator that one can be a good doctor - "if it is an indicator !"

please reconsider your view about the qualification system in our country

my friends thanx for ur concern, really in all of the arabian countries (especially in egypt and syria) the high school diploma is not an indicator....and plz Mr.Veron try to ask about the medical staff in our private university and their repuation....and don't worry about the students who pay for such education...coz we r having a benifit for that....

انا رايى فى هذا الموضوع ان الاصل بالحكم فيها لابد ان يرجع الى كفاءة الخريج بصرف النظر عن الطريقة او المؤهلات التى اهلتة للالتحاق بالكلية..
و راييى ان مسألة مكتب التنسيق (بالنسبة لكليات الطب الحكومية) و مسألة المصاريف الباهظة (بالنسبة لكليات الطب الخاصة) ماهى الا وسائل مفتعلة للحد من كميات الطلاب المهولة الراغبة بالالتحاق بالوهم المسمى بكليات القمة.
و هذا فى حد ذاته مبدأ خاطئ لانتقاء الطلاب الراغبين لدخول كلية الطب مثلاً فهناك ما يعرف فى كل دول العالم بامتحان القدرات.. مش مشكلة .. مش موضوعنا الوقتى..

لكن للاسف الواقع عندنا هنا يعتمد على مكتب التنسيق (المجموع يعنى) و على القدرة المالية كقدرات يجب توفرها فى الطالب راغب الالتحاق بالطب (مثلاً)..

و يلاحظ ان مكتب التنسيق (المجموع) هو العرف المتعارف عليه والمقبول من زمن هنا فى مصر و هو بالفعل يحدد بشكل كبير قدرات الطالب على الالتحاق بكليات الطب.

اما بالنسبة لموضوع الكليات الخاصة (المستجدة علينا فى هذه الايام) فان العبرة و المقياس فى دخولها هو القدرة المالية وهو ما جعل مثلا مثلا طالب حاصل على 98% يتساوى مع طالب حاصل على 60% و يكون مكانهم بكلية الطب ويصبح الاخير منافساً للاول(الكفء) بنقودة فى فرصته فى التعليم و فرصته فى العمل و الوظيفة لا لشيء الا لانه او والده الثرى يحب ان يرى ابنه طبيب.
وهذا فى رايى مبدا خاطئ.

ولكنه فى رايى انه من حق اى فرد ان يعلم ابنه او يتعلم الطب و لكنه ان لم يكن كفءًا لتعلم الطب فعليه ان يدفع حق تعليمه فالدولة(دافعى الضرائب) غير مسئولة عن المغامرة بتكليف و تعليم طالب من المفترض انه غير كفء لتعلم الطب لمجرد انه يريد ذلك.
بمعنى انه من حقك ان تتعلم الطب و اهلا و مرحبا بك زميلا لنا.
و لكنه فى رايى انه من حق الدولة عدم تعيين هؤلاء الخريجين فى مؤسساتها الحكومية, و ذلك لانه اذا كنت قد تخرجت من كلية الطب الخاصة فهذا دليل على قدرتك المالية(ما شاء الله) اذا فليس من حقك مزاحمة ابن الطبقة الكادحة من الشعب -و التى اعترفت الدولة على انه الاحق بالدراسة المجانية لانه الاكفأ- فى وظيفته الحكومية و الا اصبح هذا ظلماً لسببين الاول لانك لا تحتاج تلك الوظيفة والثانى لان الدولة معترفة منذ البدء ان الطالب الحكومى هو الاكفأ..

بالنسبة لموضوع الاعتراف بكم كأطباء فانه من الواجب على الدولة التى سمحت بفتح تلك الكليات بالاعتراف بخريجيها على انهم اطباء من حقهم مزاولة مهنة الطب.
و ذلك بشروط ان تكون الدولة -متمثلة فى اساتذة من كليات الطب الحكومية- مشرفةً و مراقبةً على طرق الدراسة و التقييم(الامتحانات) بل و من حقها ان تعقد امتحانات لخريجى هذه الكليات للتأكد من مدى كفاءتهم و مدى قدرتهم على مزاولة المهنة الطبية.
و كما قلت فان الاصل بالحكم فيها لابد ان يرجع الى كفاءة الخريج بصرف النظر عن الطريقة او المؤهلات التى اهلتة للالتحاق بالكلية.

Dear Alasmar: thanx for ur honest speech...
Listen my friend I had my high school diploma(thanawya ammah) from syria on 2000, and my average was 90% and that time they wanted 92% for medicine...and I love medicine so I chose to come to Egypt to study Medicine since it's famous in Medicine since the age of Pharoons...Nowadays they want 98% to study medicine in syria...so let us say that when I entered the faculty of medicine I was not that much far from medicine in syria...so maybe I deserve to study what do I want...I don't know if u have an idea about how difficult is the secondary school in syria because in the scientific section we study both math and biology (like egypt before) and the fate of the students is decided only during the period of the final exams in the 3rd secondary school (only 2 weeks, imagine!)
and there is no relation between the 2nd and 3rd secondary years...also there r no marks u can collect during the 3rd year itself ...so what u write in the final exam is ur fate....
I came to my university ..and I found a great medical staff brought from Ain shams and cairo universities ( most of them.(
and I found a great benefit...but the problem was as u said I was equaled with those who had gotten 60% in the secondary school...
but I wanna tell u something; students who don't deserve to be doctors r kicked out...because they failed in the exams from the first year…especially that in our university M.U.S.T we have exams monthly (credit hours system) ..and in the fourth year we have 8 subjects (pediatrics and gynecology & obstetrics r added in the 4th year) and we will have the whole exams of surgery and general medicine each clinical year…so don't imagine that our university is that much easy…off course as u said it depends in the first degree on the student himself…and for me I'll start to build up myself from this year(4th)…just I wanted to let others know that sometimes private education is not that easy….and believe me we have good students…..

ماشي .... كلام حلو بس أنا مش مستعد أكون أنا و زميل ليا في نفس السنه ..... أنا نجحت في ثانويه عامه بمجموع و التاني لأ .... ممكن يعملوا النظام بتاع المعاهد المؤهلة .... يعني خريج ثانوي ياخدله سنتين في معهد معين ولما ينجح بامتياز يتأهل لدخول كلية الطب ..... و لو كانت العملية إن الشخص ده مصر على دخول الكليه اللي بيحبها .... يبقى هايضحي بالسنتين و يدخل .... و احنا لينا اصحابنا في هندسة استفادوا من الموضوع ده ..... فليه ما يتطبقش الموضوع ده .... أو حتى يعيدوا الثانوية العامة من الأول مدام المسألة مش فلوس و مسألة حب و غرام .... أصل لازم يبقى فيه عقبات تعويضاً عن تعب السنين ولا هيا بالساهل كده يعني اللي عاوز يوصل لازم يدخل امتحان حقيقي اخر و يدفع فاتورة عدم المذاكره ...... مش كان يقدر يذاكر !!! و ينجح !!! وغيره ذاكر ونجح ...
و اللا انتا هاتطلب يوم قيامة بمصاريف علشان تقدر تدخل الجنة .... اللي تعب في الدنيا وعدا الاختبار و نجح ..... بيدخل الجنه

الموضوع من فى رأيى اساسه فارغ و مجوف و مالوش لازمة..
ازاى واحد مأهلوش مجموعه لدخول كلية الطب نسمح له بدخول الكلية و منافستنا لمجرد ان معاه فلوس و سيادته نفسه فيها..
احنا تعبنا و شقينا لغاية لما جيبنا المجاميع دى..
و حتى لو متعبناش..
احنا بأعتراف الحكومة الاحق بدراسة الطب لاننا اقدر ناس على تفهم دراسته و قدراتنا تأهلنا لكده..

الحاجات دى المفروض متتشراش بفلوس..

و دخول طلبة كلية الطب بفلوسهم ما هو الا تضييع للوقت و اهدار لقدرات ناس تانية احق بالمكان ده و اهدار لفلوس كانت المفروض تتصرف على ناس احق بيها لانهم الاقدر..

انا عندى رأى
نعمل امتحان قدرات (بس يكون شديد) ..
و الى يضع هذا الامتحان يكونو اساتذة من الكلية..
و يكون لتحديد اذا كان الطالب ده يستحق الدخول الى هذه الكلية و لا لأ..
و يكون برسوم كبيرة مقابل تكلفته..(زى المعادلة يعنى)..
و الى مينجحش فيه ملوش حجة..
يبقى مينفعش..
و الى ينجح يدخل الكلية بس يدفع..

و دى تشبه الى حد كبير الطالب الى دخل كلية خاصة و نجح فى اول سنة او لم يوقف..
كده احسن علشان منضيعش وقت و جهد و فلوس ناس على الفاضى..

و اقترح عمل امتحان ذى ده برده للى مجموعهم يؤهلهم لدخول الطب بس من غير رسوم..

I agree with u, but I want to remind the others that iam just a syrian student studying medicine in egypt...and after I finish I'll take myself back to home..abd I'll be thankful for egypt for giving me the bachelore of medicine....
my friends I told u before that I got 90% in the secondary school and in syria that time (year 2000) they asked for 92% at least to study medicine...so I came here....and wether I went to alkasr el ainy or to any private university I'll pay for it...I think that u know that handreds of students in your faculties r paying to study(iam speaking about arabs not about the egyptians!) so if u see my friends that it's not fare for two students one of them has gotten 75% and is studying medicine just coz he can pay while the other has gotten 95% and is not studying medicine and can't pay for it....
so I suggest to leave studying medicine in private university for the arabian students (who will turn back to their countries) I think it's more better...

hello Dr adel really i appreciate ur situation and i can say that there are many people who wanna also to study medicine but maybe their marks was agains their wishes for just only few marks maybe just half mark and they dont have the ability to afford the high coast of private college
althought i belive in that
but i also belive that these private college allow people wiz 80 and 85 % to be treated equally as people who got 98 or 99 %

and i think that this is unfair
and urself wont be happy to be equalized wiz another one wiz avery low marks
Just cuz they have money and have the ability to afford these hight costs

it is really a complicated situation
and anyway

بالاضافه الي انهم اكيد مش هيتخرجو مش فاهمين بالعكس علي كلام محمد عندهم فرصه احسن في التعليم
