if you allow me, I think Davidson is very good.

But I haven't experienced Kumar & clarke yet, so I can't compare

by the way I recommend the following :

ECG : Tarek Abdelhameed's illustrated ECG ( a book from Newzeland ! )
Pediatrics : Dr. Mohammad Annaggar ( multiple volumes )

many thanks dr.

Dr. Mohammad Annaggar ( multiple volumes )

i didn't see the book, but i respect the man too much...

i really don't like the other book..."from which all students study"

& i was intending 2 buy dr. el naggar's one..

but what do u mean by
multiple volumes ...?

u mean there is another book other than the book in single volume...?? "this is the only one i did find in the faculty"

Yes, actually I was not speaking about the common book titled : "Pediatrics for medical students" that is the official book for 5th year,

I'm speaking about the other books titled :
Pediatric clinical diagnosis
Practical pediatric therapy
Basic clinical pediatrics
Basic pediatric radiology
Pediatric critical care
Ct scan in pediatric

all by Dr Mohammad Annaggar (or "El-Naggar" as he writes on his books.)

in addition to a new atlas for spot diagnosis of some common cases

the above-mentioned books are intended to serve GP's and junior pediatricians primarily, but also crazy students like me spend good time with them !

anyway, I think that the official book you've seen is already the best for 5th year, but...

It is so good for revision, not to study by oneself from the start !
you know what I mean ?
Pediatrics need a lot of attending theoretical and practical rounds, you can't memorize what you can't find logic, that's why people take private lessons in Pediatrics, but sometimes they finally regret !

My advice : have multiple books to read and one book to memorize

هذا و الله أعلم

good luck

really many thanks u spent time for the sake of mine...:smiley27.

i do completely agree with u

many people think that this is a very good way..
to make u get confussed, lost & FAILED..!!
they remember a fact of SINGLE paper asking u to write few...DOZENS of paper in few hours...in something called exam.
so reading is a big mistake and huge sin

but in the case of mine, this is not a wasted time
not because i am the man, or becouse i'm good enough
but by the opposite because with those books that seem easy to be stored & recalled...i do nothing....in spite of having many time..

just reading may produce a little difference in written exams..but can improve my mental health markedly "that became so poor during the last years".

in addition, it may give me an appetite to store a book of few hundreds of pages...
one book to memorize as you said.

i think we are a little away from the aim of the thread as mr. "firon" was aiming 2 collect the recommended foreign books.

so, i apologize

thanks again dr.
